Insurance for property

I will shortly be starting my first property - as in renovating and decorating an existing semi- detached property. I will need to insure it - both buildings and a small amount for contents when it is staged. Is anyone aware of a special insurance product for this type of thing ? or one that I can pay on a month by month basis or indeed a blanket policy which can be moved from property to property ? Is there such a thing ?
