Dan Martin's picture

According to press reports, Sir Alan Sugar has been appointed the government's new Enterprise Tsar to advise Gordon Brown on helping businesses cope with the recession.

Does his involvement with the government reflect the fact that we're in the midst of a celebrity culture or will his advice to ministers really make a difference? And if Sir Alan's not the right choice, which other high profile entrepreneur would you like to see involved with the government?
