Your accounting and finance software: Are you satisfied?

Back to blog homepage for: Dan Martin: Editor's Blog

Did you know you're one of 500,000 business professionals who access BusinessZone.co.uk and our sister websites every month? With those sort of numbers doing the rounds, you're a pretty influential bunch!

When we gather the views of our audience on a wide variety of subjects, the results are very representative of what all entrepreneurs, HR directors, accountants, finance directors, trainers, CRM professionals and knowledge management experts around the UK are thinking.

With that in mind, I'm delighted to announce that the Software Satisfaction Awards, the only such scheme based on the views of genuine buyers and end-users of business software applications, are back. Now its fourth year, the SSAs, as they are affectionately known, have built up quite a reputation.

Due to the fact that a so-called panel of experts don't decide who wins, the awards act as a valuable guide to any business taking the decision to purchase new software applications.

Last year, around 6,000 people took the trouble to vote across 21 categories and we'd very much like to repeat those figures in 2009. Here's a short video of what happened at the 2008 ceremony:

The Software Satisfaction Awards 2009 survey is now live.

Of particular interest to the BusinessZone.co.uk community are the accounting and finance categories which are always among the hardest fought. The stalwarts of the industry are on the list but they're joined by several of the young upstarts of the software sector.

Thank you very much in advance for taking the time to vote. It really will only take a moment and I'll be happy to update you in July when the shortlists are announced, and in October when the winners are revealed during a glitzy ceremony at The Royal Courts of Justice in central London.

To make sure your voice is heard, vote now. The deadline for entries is Tuesday 30 June.
