Around 6000 new web pages are infected with malware and viruses every day, according to IT security experts. They could be accused of scaremongering - after all, they're set to profit from the hype and the chances of your business being affected are pretty slim, right?
Most employers are now savvy enough to spot the potential risks, putting in place policies surrounding looking at certain websites during work hours and switching email junk filters on to getting rid of obvious spam. But the stakes are higher now, with ID theft and corporate espionage on the rise through organised criminal gangs.
It's at the stage where even looking at something as seemingly innocuous as a company offering Pilates classes or browsing property sites could put your business at risk. And even the website owners aren't aware of it.
