My media week: How radio can benefit your business

Simon Corbett, Jargon PRRadio reaches millions of people every day as we commute to work, buy lunch from a coffee shop or drive to see friends in the evening. Yet it is a medium frequently overlooked by small businesses as a way of reaching their target audience.

The UK radio market can be categorised by stations that are either local, regional or national. These two categories can be further segmented as either commercial stations or those provided by the BBC. The two largest radio broadcasting hubs are from Greater London and Dublin and transmit over 400 stations.
