Cosmetics aficionados will recognise the slogan 'maybe she's born with it', but while many of us know that no amount of foundation or moisturiser will make our skin as flawless as Christie Brinkley's, we continue to buy the products in the hope that somehow we can fight nature with nurture.

When it comes to success in business, the lines are blurred further still. Is Richard Branson tenacious by nature or did he just put in more hours than anyone else? Could it be that some people are just born with a knack for business, or is it circumstance and pure graft that makes a great entrepreneur? Is there such a thing as entrepreneurial DNA and if so, what are its key components? These are the million (and sometimes billion) dollar questions that everyone wishes they knew the answers to.
