Doug Richard: There's nothing wrong with volunteer mentors
News that the government is launching a network of 40,000 mentors as part of its replacement for the disbanded Business Link system has provoked controversy on BusinessZone.co.uk with many members questioning the value and commitment of volunteer, unpaid mentors. Doug Richard, founder of School for Startups which is involved in the mentoring scheme, responds to the criticism.
