Google, Barclays and Yell to support entrepreneurs through StartUp Britain
Internet giant Google is among the major corporate companies offering discounted services and initiatives to new entrepreneurs as part of a new government-backed start-up business scheme.
Although it was mentioned in chancellor George Osborne's Budget announcement on Wednesday, the government has revealed few details about the StartUp Britain campaign which launches in London on Monday.
But according to Sky News' city editor Mark Kleinman, business owners accessing support through the programme will receive preferential rates from up to 50 big firms. "Barclays, Google and O2 are among dozens of big companies backing the launch of StartUp Britain, an initiative being unveiled next week by David Cameron, the prime minister, I have learned," Kleinman said.
BusinessZone.co.uk will be attending the StartUp Britain launch on Monday 28 March and running a live blog.
