British start-up named world's best small business

A British company selling hand-tailored suits via the internet has taken top spot in an international competition which recognises effective use of technology by small businesses.

After claiming the UK title earlier in September, London-based A Suit That Fits.com was this week named the global winner of the Small Business Excellence Awards by IT corporation Dell.

The competition, founded in the US in 2002 and expanded internationally in 2008, rewards entrepreneurs in 13 countries for their innovative use of technology to improve customer experience.

A Suit That Fits.com was recognised for its unique online Style Wizard which allows customers to choose from 40bn possible suit combinations.
