Infographic: How fighting the fear of starting up would boost the economy by £3bn
If all the people who would like to start a business but are scared to do so took the leap into enterprise and made £1,000 profit, the economy would get a £3.25bn boost.
That's the claim of new research from Business Link.
According to the support organisation, which recently launched new services, a quarter of employees believe there are good opportunities for starting a business but fear prevents one in three from setting up their own company.
If they all actually did it, the research claimed, the economy would benefit significantly.
