Coalition partners split on key business issues
Conservative and Liberal Democrat MPs disagree on important business issues, new British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) research suggests.
According to a study commissioned by the BCC to coincide with the Liberal Democrats Conference in Liverpool, when it comes to helping companies create jobs and aiding the UK's economic recovery, there are discrepancies among MPs from the two coalition parties.
And on infrastructure investment, there were similarly disagreements. More than two thirds of Liberal Democrat MPs wanted spending on infrastructure to rise or remain constant in real terms, with only 27% of Conservatives thinking the same.
