The Conservative Party has tasked entrepreneur Sir James Dyson with examining ways in which the UK can be turned into Europe's capital for new technology. Best known for his bagless vacuum cleaners, Sir James is to lead a taskforce to investigate how the hi-tech sector can attract more private equity investment and boost the number of exports abroad.
