Is your business ready for the mobile web?

If you thought the World Wide Web was big, consider this: there are nearly 4bn mobile phones in the world – about four times more than the number of PCs and every day, more and more people are using their mobile phones to access websites. There are already over 42m European mobile web users, and businesses are increasingly seeing the potential of having a presence on the mobile web.

A lot has changed since the introduction of the first bulky phone in 1984. The new generation of devices has made accessing the mobile internet easy and "all you can eat" data plans have made it cost effective.

This explosion of mobile web use has not eluded the big brands; nearly every large organisation has a mobile web presence already or is planning to launch one in the next twelve months. Smaller business are now beginning to get in on the act, everything from a one-office estate agent to the local takeaway are seeing the benefits of having a site that consumers can access when on the move.
